The pandemic has increased the pace of digital transformation in all aspects of our lives, and education is no exception. Students and teachers have had to adapt to virtual and remote learning environments which have historically been very “hands-on”, particularly for STEM education. The Inspirit team noticed this new challenge and developed a no-code platform for teachers, tutors, and other content creators to create interactive lessons that can be accessed through a web browser. They have built a community, platform, and marketplace for immersive and interactive STEM tools. When we met with the Inspirit team, we knew that they had the right vision, experience, and approach to solve this problem. We decided to partner with them and we’re excited to announce that Sierra Ventures led Inspirit’s $3.6M Seed Round. We are thrilled to be working with customer-obsessed founders, Aditya Vishwanath and Amrutha Vasan. The duo spent four years at Georgia Tech as VR/education researchers. The team quickly landed on STEM-specific education as the initial problem to tackle and one year into the business have seen tremendous growth and traction. Most digital learning content is passive, non-interactive, and can be boring. Inspirit’s immersive labs and 3D simulations replace the 'digital whiteboard’ with tools that are easy to customize lessons, integrate assessments, and share across web, mobile, and XR platforms. Teachers and students have taken notice and Inspirit’s content has already been viewed by over 40,000 students and has a thriving community of over 1,000 creators.https://youtu.be/TnALKnRUYTsWith a fast-growing, highly-engaged user base we see great potential for Inspirit to change the way students learn in STEM while pioneering the replacement of practical experience with a virtual environment. We believe Inspirit will not only solve a massive short term problem but also will allow students who may not have had access to quality STEM resources to receive a higher quality education. We’re looking forward to working with co-investors AME Cloud, Unshackled Ventures, Edovate Capital, Redhouse Education, January Ventures, Roble Ventures, At.Inc, and Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs.Inspirit is a rare opportunity to build a massive company while helping millions of students receive better access to education and we’re excited to be part of their journey!
